LONG AND WASTED YEARS Michel Montecrossa’s Michel & Bob Dylan Fest 2017 is released by Mira Sound Germany on Audio-CD, DVD and as Download.
LONG AND WASTED YEARS Michel Montecrossa’s Michel & Bob Dylan Fest 2017 which was recorded live on Thursday 20th July 2017 during the legendary Spirit of Woodstock Festival 2017 in Mirapuri is presenting the great singing of 9 Bob Dylan songs performed by Michel Montecrossa and his band The Chosen Few and 7 Michel Montecrossa songs. LONG AND WASTED YEARS Michel Montecrossa’s Michel & Bob Dylan Fest 2017 begins with the Bob Dylan song ‘Long And Wasted Years’ followed by Michel Montecrossa’s Cyberschlager ‘Ich Bin Der Typ – I’m The One’ and Bob Dylan’s song ‘Champaign, Illinois’. Michel Montecrossa’s timeless Hit ‘Auf Der Autobahn Des Lebens – On The Highway Of Life’ leads to Bob Dylan’s song ‘I Don’t Want To Do It’. Michel Montecrossa then goes on with his ‘From Honeymoon I Started Into The Open Years’. The Bob Dylan song ‘If Not For You’ connects to Michel Montecrossa’s ‘Mondkuss Lust – Moonkiss Passion’. The journey goes on with the Bob Dylan song ‘New Morning’, Michel Montecrossa’s ‘Sinnlich Mit Dir – Sensual With You’ and many more. The finale is ‘I Could Have Told You’, one of the Frank Sinatra songs which Bob Dylan also performed.

Michel Montecrossa says about his Michel & Bob Dylan Fest 2017:
“Songs from the highway of Life.”

Michel Montecrossa says about his Michel & Bob Dylan Fest series:
“The origin of the ‘Michel & Bob Dylan Fest Series’ was a man asking me if I could sing a Bob Dylan song in my next concert. I fulfilled his wish. After that I was asked ever more to include Bob Dylan songs in my concerts, as people said they like my way of singing Bob Dylan songs and they like to hear them together with my own songs as a positive and stimulating experience. Out of that the ‘Michel & Bob Dylan Fest Series’ evolved, beginning in 2001 and the ‘The Michel & Bob Dylan Fest 2017‘ is the 17th time that it happened. It includes my own new songs as well as Bob Dylan songs.”

Michel Montecrossa says about ‘The Michel & Bob Dylan Fest 2012 in Mirapuri’:
“The origin of the ‘Michel & Bob Dylan Fest Series’ was a man asking me if I could sing a Bob Dylan song in my next concert. I fulfilled his wish. After that I was asked ever more to include Bob Dylan songs in my concerts, as people said they like my way of singing Bob Dylan songs and they like to hear them together with my own songs as a positive and stimulating experience. Out of that the ‘Michel & Bob Dylan Fest Series’ evolved, beginning in 2001 and the ‘The Michel & Bob Dylan Fest 2012′ is the 12th time that it happened. It includes my own new songs as well as Bob Dylan songs from 1961 till 2012. The opening song ‘Talking Big Festival Waves’ I wrote for celebrating in 2012 the 20th birthday of the Spirit of Woodstock Festival in Mirapuri, the City of Peace and Futureman in Europe, Italy. It is followed by a Bob Dylan song from 1961 ‘East Orange, New Jersey’, of which I only found the lyrics so that I composed my own tune for it. Some of the other Bob Dylan songs are co-written by Bob Dylan with other musicians like Bono from U2 (‘Love Rescue Me’), Helena Springs (‘Coming From The Heart’, ‘The Wandering Kind’), Michael Bolton (‘Steel Bars’), Tom Petty (‘Jammin’ Me’) and George Harrison from the Beatles (‘I Don’t Want To Do It’). ‘You Belong To Me’ is a 1952 monster hit by Chilton Price with some participation of Pee Wee King and Redd Stewart which was covered by Bob Dylan and used for the soundtrack of the 1994 movie ‘Natural Born Killers’. ‘The Love That Faded’ is a song composed by Bob Dylan for the lyrics with the same title by Hank Williams. The other tracks are Bob Dylan originals including rarities like ‘Jesus Is The One’, ‘Trouble In Mind’, ‘I Will Love Him’ and more. My own brands include New-Topical-Songs like ‘Don’t Cheat’, ‘Bouncin’! (With Gangsta Bankas And Corrupto Politos)’, ‘Try It Harder All Ye Helpless Leaders! Try It Harder!’, ‘Damn Hot – The Vision Of Balance’, ‘Cyberrocker Morfin’ U’, ‘Love & Unity Dance’, ‘Coffee And Sandwich Blues’ and many more.”

“In my songs I connect the present with the future, as Bob Dylan in his songs connects the past with the present. A complete Action Philosophy is the union of both aspects. That’s why I sing my songs along with Bob Dylan songs, for he too is helping in the transformation of the world. And that is the something that counts.”
